Inkspiration colour challenge # 96

The latest Inkspirations Colour Challenge was just the thing I needed to launch me into making another Christmas Card for the season that could be mass produced!

Here Is the Lovely Colour Palette

Products used include the beautiful Snow swirled, Occasional Quotes & the fabulous Merry and Type stamp sets from SU. Plus don't you just love the new mini frames embossing folder. The only other things used to create this elegant card was some ribbon and dazzling diamonds glitter. It was a very quick and easy Christmas card to make and that's a good thing when wanting to mass produce.

Well a big hello to my fabulous blog readers and hope you are having a fantastic week. I'm feeling really relaxed now that I have just about finished studying. This has giving me some time to get back to what I really love doing "Being Creative"! I love all that Stampin' Up! has to offer in the 2011 Idea's Catalogue. If you would like to know more about the products used or My class times email me at ncmacey@hotmail.com.

Christmas is now only 40 days away. "Scary I know"so I thought I would get started on sending out my Chrsitmas cards. Each year I make a different one to send to my family and friends and since I don't have much time I'm going to use the swap I made for the Sydney Regionals.

To Create this card I used:
Stamps: Merry & Type, Snow Swirled, Four the Holidays. Paper: Cherry cobbler, Whisper White. Ink: Cherry Cobbler & Basic Black. Accessories: Dimensionals, Snail Tape, Versa mark, 2 way glue pen & Dazzling Diamonds.

Snow Swirled

Hi All, Wow what an exciting time I had with everyone who attended class this week. The card & candle pictured was made by my very talented daughter Rebecca, who used a great colour combination. Well Done!

I have been getting lots of requests for some different techniques and thought stamping on candles would be fun to do as well as being able to create a special gift for someone at christmas.

Another class member Helen had asked about creating an acetate card so I decided to combine the two projects. Acetate cards are really easy to make once you get the knack of hiding the adhesive and using white stazon ink.

This card was inspired using the beautiful card made by Teneale Williams.

Elements of Style

My card this week was inspired both by this weeks sketch challenge & the lovely Miss Teneale. I decided I would send this card to my beautiful Aunty D who is undergoing chemo & as her favourite colour is blue the colour choice was easy. I also love how easy it is to achieve colour success using the colour coach from Stamp'in Up!.

After hours of watching the video from convention of Teneale demonstrating her Bow technique, I think I've got it!

The products used to create this card include: Stamp sets- Elements of Style, French Foliage & Thanks for caring. Cardstock: Marina mist, Very vanilla, Night of navy & Certainly celery. Stain ribbon, the ribbon punch, Versa mark & embossed with clear embossing powder, the beautiful wings embosslit & to add a touch of softness some pearls.

Wedding Card

The Challenge this week at Just Add Ink is Just Add Black And White. It is a colour concept that I love to work with. I was asked to create a wedding card for one of the girls at work and the colours she asked for was , you guessed it! .... Black & White.

I started with the thought of keeping it simple and then just kept building on it. I was really pleased with how the layers blended together. If you look close you might even just see a little bit of Dazzle.

Recipe:
Stamp set: Because I care (level one Hostess set) & Occasional Quotes ( level 3 Hostess set)
Cardstock: Whisper white & Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder & Organza ribbon and some dazzling diamonds.

French Foliage

This is a card that I created using the French Foliage stamp set out of the Autumn - Winter Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! I stumbled accross a technique know as BAM Stamping. This technique is quick and simple, you just need to stamp into each colour quickly then stamp onto your cardstock. The colours I used to create this card were Choc Chip, More Mustard, Tangerine Orange & Cajun Craze. This design was a great way to use all those little bits of scrap cardstock.
