Just Add Ink - Christmas Project Challenge # 196

Hi Bloggers - Hope everyone had a wonderful Xmas with their loved ones. Christmas is such a special time of the year for my family.

The latest Just Add Ink Challenge allowed me to showcase a christmas card that I made a little while ago. It could be mass produced easily which helped me to get my Xmas Cards out on time this year.  I try not to use retired SU products but I just couldn't part with this  Stamp Set as it's one of my favourites.

Products used: include  Occasional Quotes & the fabulous Merry and Type stamp sets from SU. Plus don't you just love the mini frames embossing folder. The only other things used to create this elegant card was some ribbon and dazzling diamonds glitter. It  really was a very quick and easy Christmas card to make and that's a good thing when you need to get things done quickly.

My inspiration for this card came from all the beautiful flowers that I saw in full bloom over the weekend. Spring is truly such a beautiful time of the year. I have to say that I love the colour challenge from Just Add Ink this week. I used the Stamp Set Million & One (Just love this script) and Flower Shop and the little leaves Sizzlet die for the foliage. The little Raspberry Ripple flowers were created using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. And for the finishing touch I used some pearl basic jewels just to add some elegance.

Cheers

The Just Add Ink - Just Add Bows! challenge this week had me thinking all about christmas as there is only 12 weeks to go before Santa arrives. I used an old favourite the Lovely as a Tree stamp set from Stampin' Up! I love the new colour Smoke Slate and Pool Party used together and the Winter Frost Speciality DSP from the Holiday Cattie really helped to finish my creation off. Check back in over the next day or so and I'll show you how I created the effect behind the trees using the Paper Doily Sizzlit.

The 'Six-Sided Sampler' on page 125 is one of my favourite stamp sets.

I had an amazing time at this year’s Stampin' Up! Convention and am preparing already for even more excitement to be had at the Melbourne Convention Centre --where we'll have the experience of a lifetime between 22nd & 24th May, 2014. GUESTS Are welcome... So start saving to come with me.. It will be a BLAST!!!
It's hard to explain the excitement. My Stampin’ Up! BFF Louise Sharp likens it to a kid in a candy shop - and I agree!

Among many other amazing demonstrators, this year I got to meet the very talented Narelle Farrugia – I really love her stamping style and it was such a delight to finally meet her. Most demonstrators participate in something called 'Swaps.' These are a card front and I  made 100 of the same design to received 100 beautiful different swaps back from very talented stampers.
Here is my 'Swap' card:
Stamp Set:  Feels Good
Accessories: Versa mark, Dimensionals, Snail Tape, Crystal effects, Baker’s Twine,
Real Red stitched Gross Gain Ribbon, Button Sizzlit, White embossing powder, Heat Gun, White water colour pencil, Glue Dots, Clouds embossing folder, Rhinestone basic jewels.
Designer Series Paper: Story Time
Colour Combination: Whisper White; Basic Black; Real Red

Ps: The Beautiful Cloud embossing folder: isn’t hanging around, so get your order in NOW!

Happy Stampin'

This beautiful Card was created  by my very talented sister Jane.

I love the softness of the colours she has used to create this wedding card. "The bride and Groom was made using the Heart punch from Stampin up!"
